3.2 kilos of raw opium seized in Namhkam
Yangon,
4 June – A combined team including members of local intelligence unit and
special anti-drug squad, acting on information, halted and searched Aung Kyaw
(a) Sihlyachoon riding on a green motorbike without number plates on the road at
the top of Kaunghsa Village, Namh-kam Township, on 24 May. The authorities
seized 3.2 kilos of raw opium with him. The police station concerned took action
against Aung Kyaw (a) Sihlyachoon, son of U Siwanlu of Naunghsantgon Village in
Namhkam Township under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
