Rehabilitation and Resettlement for socially disadvantaged Groups such as traditional vagrants and lepers are being carried out by the Department of Social Welfare so as to reintegrate into the society. Concerning with the rehabilitation for traditional vagrants awarness raising programme and self employment activities are successfully being carried out. |
As for leprosy affected persons resettlement programmes such as health education, income generation are being provided. Due to effective implementation of rehabilitation and resettlement for socially disadvantaged groups, they become useful members of society. |
